Susan Englebrecht
Born in Portland, Or. and graduated from OSU with a degree in graphic arts before computers where everything had to be done by hand Susan worked for small newspapers before joining Peace Corps and headed for Gabon and Kenya. There she painted and drew her way through the three before backpacking through Europe with sketchbook in hand. Her next adventure was in Sitka, Ak where she painted and drew her way around Southeast Alaska for the next 8 years. She left Sitka for the next adventure with her husband and son for the next 25 years exploring the interior wilds of Alaska camping, hiking, fishing, and most of all painting. Most recently Susan and husband retired and moved to Pullman in June of 2022 to explore the lower 48 paintbrushes in hand.
