Nancy Bowman
"While design, color, value, drawing, composition and unity are all important underlying factors, my main goal is to strive to use these elements to convey a particular mood in a painting."
I studied drafting and graduated from Humboldt State College in CA. I then worked as an electrical draftsman for several years before moving to Grays Harbor, WA in 1977. At this time I began to seriously study fine art. I have taken workshops from many Northwest and nationally known artists, including Ned Mueller, Carla O'Connor, Irving Shapiro, Stan Miller, and Joseph Bohler. In 2005 my husband and I moved from Grays Harbor to Moscow, ID. Since then I have been working with soft pastels, colored pencils and water media.
